Does nutritional history impact on future performance and utilization of plant based diet in common carp?

This study investigated the possibility to improve use of plant based feed in common carp (Cyprinus carpio), via feeding diet from early life stage. Fry, obtained larvae produced by broodstock fed with either two diets viz. fish (F diet) or (P diet), were stocked into six earthen ponds triplicate. Fry F- and P- group also isoproteic (37% crude protein) isolipidic (6.5% lipid) respectively, for four months attain juvenile period referred as ‘nutritional history F P', respective nutritional histories denoted ‘F- fish’.
